Tracy Cowart, mezzo-soprano

Tracy Cowart, mezzo-sopran0, pursues a wide range of vocal interests, although she is particularly drawn to Baroque opera, contemporary art music, and cabaret. Ms. Cowart is currently pursuing M.M. in Vocal Performance at The Catholic University of America. On stage, she has performed in the world premieres of both The Libation Bearers (Nurse) and The Furies (Mania). Additional opera work includes Cendrillon (Spirit) with the Summer Opera Theatre Company, La Traviata (Flora Bervoix) with the Bethesda Summer Music Festival, and Amahl and the Night Visitors (Mother) with BPC Theatre. In addition to Great Noise Ensemble, Ms. Cowart performs as both a soloist and chorister with the Washington Bach Consort, directed by Riley Lewis, and is involved in Bel Cantanti. Tracy studies with Fleta Hylton.
