A native Pennsylvanian, Kara Morgan received her Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. She subsequently spent two years in Nancy, France studying voice with Mme. Christiane Stutzmann at the Conservatoire de Nancy where she obtained the Medaille d’Or in 2004. Her first solo appearances with orchestra were performed on stages in several cities in France and in Germany. Kara currently studies with Francois Loup and is pursuing her masters as a member of the Maryland Opera Studio at the University of Maryland. Upcoming projects include performing Arvo Part’s L’Abbe Agathon at the Aspen Music Festival and the role of Sophie in Massenet’s Werther this fall with the Maryland Opera Studio.
