Kristen Williams, piano

Kristen Williams began to study music at the age of four. Active in the metropolitan DC area as both a teacher and performer on piano and voice. Her playing has been described as “having a great sense of rhythm and syncopation with a light but firm touch. [She is] an emerging performer” by Gail Wein, New Music Box. Recent piano performances include solo and collaborative work at THE ARC Theater in Washington, DC, The Jane Franklin Dance Company, area retirement homes and master classes in Castres, France. On voice, Kristen is the soprano soloist with St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Choir in Washington, DC and Kristen regularly tours as keyboardist and back up vocalist with DC punk rock band, Full Minute of Mercury. Kristen currently studies piano with Robert Durso and voice with Cate Frazier-Neely. Kristen received her BS in Technical Writing and Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, PA. She is the Director of Development & Finance for the Great Noise Ensemble.
